Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions aim to describe the procedures applicable to the use of the online booking service for tourism activities, provided by the PortugalDayTrip platform.
In addition to the terms described herein, the activity booking process is also subject to the individual terms of each service provider, namely the booking procedures, availability or cancellation policy. These terms are simultaneously available with the description of each activity.
By registering on the platform, you confirm that you have read, understood and accepted these Terms and Conditions. By confirming your reservation (or reservation request), you also accept all the terms and conditions of the service, including the cancellation policy, established by the partner.
We reserve the right to change and/or update these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice, so you should consult the terms and conditions periodically and before making reservations on the platform.
The PortugalDayTrip platform operates on the internet as a website for the promotion and reservation of leisure activities linked to the tourism sector in Portugal. The activities come from partners (service providers), such as tour operators, experiences and accommodation, with offers exclusively located in Portuguese territory. Our service is free of charge, we do not charge you any additional fee in relation to the reservation value.
When you make a reservation on the platform, you will enter into a direct contractual relationship with the service provider, and PortugalDayTrip only acts as an intermediary in this process and has no contractual responsibility for the agreement between both parties.
To make reservations, request tailor-made experiences, or contact partners via the messaging center, you will need to register on the platform, where you will be asked to provide your personal data. You will be responsible for the accuracy and up-to-date nature of this data, as well as all activity that occurs on your account. During registration, you will be required to accept the terms and conditions described herein, confirming that you have read and understood them. If you wish, you may cancel your account, on your own initiative, at any time, without any compensation.
3.1 The partner is solely responsible for the information regarding partners and their service offerings, in particular the informative texts, descriptions of activities, photographs, prices, or translations into other languages on the platform.
3.2 The partner undertakes to ensure that the information provided is always true, accurate and up-to-date, and may be held liable for customer claims based on alleged inaccuracies.
3.3 PortugalDayTrip undertakes to verify and validate the information entered by the partner on the platform, however, it is not responsible for its accuracy or authenticity.
3.4 The information on the platform contains material and trademarks protected by copyright and trademark registration legislation, and therefore, it may not modify, publish, transmit, participate in the transfer or sale, create derivative works, or exploit in any other way the content, in whole or in part.
On the PortugalDayTrip platform, there are two booking models:
4.1 Bookings Subject to Confirmation
The booking is made conditionally, with the partner having 48 hours to confirm it (considering the partners’ business days, the confirmation period may be longer). After making the booking request, you will receive an email with the details of the pending booking. If the request is accepted, the contract with the partner becomes valid and the reservation is confirmed. You will receive a confirmation email with all the details regarding the service purchased, which will serve as a voucher, which must be printed and handed over when using the service. If the reservation is not validated by the partner, you will receive an email stating that the reservation has not been confirmed.
4.2 Reservations with Immediate Confirmation
In this model, reservations are automatically accepted and confirmed by the system. Automatic reservations are based on an option managed by the partner, pre-identifying the availability of activities in the system. In this model, you will receive, immediately after making the reservation, a confirmation email with all the details regarding the service purchased, which in turn will also serve as a voucher, which must be printed and handed over to the partner when using the service.
4.3 Special Booking Conditions
Some experiences may have special conditions for groups, including discounts. This information is identified in the booking process. There may also be special conditions for children, depending on their age, including the amount to be paid for the experience. Please consult the description of the activity to confirm the respective conditions.
4.4 Offer of Experiences
The user will have the opportunity to purchase an activity to offer to third parties. When booking in this mode, the user will select the number of people to enjoy the experience, but not the date. After validation and payment, a voucher for the respective experience will be issued and sent to an address that you indicate (your own or a third party’s). The voucher is valid for 6 (six) months, and must be booked directly with PortugalDayTrip in order to schedule the date for the enjoyment of the respective experience.
4.4.1 PortugalDayTrip reserves the right to change the activity of the gift voucher for one of a similar profile and value, whenever:
– The partner is not available to carry out the experience during the validity period of the gift voucher;
– The experience is no longer carried out at the partner’s initiative, during the validity period of the gift voucher.
4.4.2 The cancellation of the gift voucher may be carried out by the purchaser during the validity period of the voucher, that is, 6 (six) months after the purchase. In these cases, the amount paid will be refunded to the purchaser, minus the cancellation fees applied by PortugalDayTrip , of 5% of the amount paid. As with all cancellations, the refund will be made using the same method used for payment. Under no circumstances may the person to whom the voucher was offered be the one to carry out the cancellation.
4.5 Reservation Deadline
The period required to make a request/reservation is 48 hours in advance.
It is not possible to make any reservations more than 1 (one) year in advance.
All prices shown for experiences available at PortugalDayTrip include applicable taxes and fees.
5.1 Price Types
There are two types of prices for experiences available at PortugalDayTrip :
– Price per person;
– Price per pack.
For experiences with a price per person option, after selecting the desired number of people, the total amount will be displayed, relative to the total number of people added.
For experiences with a price per pack option, the amounts shown will be relative to the total number of people included in the respective pack.
These assumptions are indicated in the booking conditions for each activity.
5.2 Fixed and Variable Prices
Some experiences may have price variations depending on the day of the week and the time of year.
After selecting the desired day in the calendar on the experience page, the final price for the chosen date will be displayed.
There are also experiences that require a quote request to be made to the partner, stating the date, number of people and preferred language. In this case, the partner will respond to the request, via email or message center, within a maximum period of 48 hours, where they will provide information on availability and a quote, according to the data submitted in the request.
All cancellations, whether on your own initiative or on the partner’s initiative, must be made through the platform.
6.1 The cancellation policy will vary according to each partner and/or activity. In this sense, the partner will apply its own cancellation policy, respecting all the requirements, deadlines and penalties that characterize it. The cancellation policy is described in the information content of each activity.
6.2 It is PortugalDayTrip ‘s responsibility to manage the process of refunding funds to partners and transferring them to the customer. The funds will be returned to the customer through the method used to pay for the experience, with the exception of payment by Multibanco reference, in which case the refund must be made by bank transfer.
6.3 In the event of cancellation at the partner’s initiative, the amount paid will be fully refunded, unless otherwise agreed between you and the service provider.
6.4 If the cancellation, at the user’s initiative, is made in compliance with all the criteria described in the respective cancellation policy, the full amount of the reservation will be refunded, minus a refund fee of 5% of the total purchase amount (processing costs).
6.5 In the case of late cancellations, where the cancellation policy has not been fully complied with, part or all of the amount paid for the experience may be retained. This information is described in the activity’s cancellation policy. In situations where a refund is due, the amount paid will also be charged.
6.6 If you do not fully comply with the cancellation policy or do not show up at the scheduled time for the service, you will not be refunded.
6.7 If there is any change to the characteristics of the activity (time, location, service, etc.), the partner will notify you via email or platform within a maximum period of two business days before the date of the activity.
6.8 The refund of funds in refund situations to the customer will be made within a maximum period of 30 (thirty) days, except in situations where the partner delays returning the funds to PortugalDayTrip , in which case the refund to the customer will be subject to the partner returning the funds.
6.9 PortugalDayTrip is not responsible if a partner does not make the refund within the scheduled period or in full, in accordance with the cancellation policy. It is the customer’s responsibility to take action with the partner, in the event of disagreement, in order to regularize the situation.
PortugalDayTrip allows users to request a personalized experience on the “Tailor-made” page on the platform.
To request a personalized program, users must submit a form that requires the following fields to be filled in: telephone number, country, wine regions they wish to visit, number of people, desired duration, preferred date or date range for the activity, total budget and description of the type of experience desired.
7.1 Types of Personalized Activities
“Tailor-made” programs are designed and organized by PortugalDayTrip based on the client’s preferences. The activities will be implemented by PortugalDayTrip s network of selected partners.
A variety of services and activities can be added to a personalized program, with different durations, according to the client’s expectations. These include wine and food tours, winery experiences, river activities, accommodation programs, transfer services, corporate events, among others. Depending on the complexity of the requested program, a deposit may be requested for the preparation of the activity design.
In order to allow the exchange of direct messages with partners, the platform provides a message center functionality, where the user can exchange information regarding the execution of services directly with the partner. Direct messages are not permitted for requests or confirmations of reservations, cancellations, or personal messages unrelated to the provision of the service.
To clarify any doubts related to the use of the platform, or for any other type of support required, PortugalDayTrip provides the following contact methods:
PortugalDayTrip team opening hours: Mon. to Fri. 9:30am-7pm.
After enjoying an activity, you will be invited, via email (or you can also do so on your own initiative directly on the experience page), to comment on your experience and assign a score for certain aspects. The purpose of the evaluation is to create feedback on the partner’s profile (and their activities), in order to evaluate them in terms of performance, reliability and authenticity. PortugalDayTrip reserves the right to verify, validate and publish these comments and scores, as well as to remove them if they include obscenities or false accusations.
PortugalDayTrip uses payment processing systems that guarantee total security, speed and simplicity for your reservations.
For payments by credit card, Visa or Mastercard, the user has two options. Through the Stripe platform (Stripe, Inc.), integrated directly into the checkout page, or through the Paypal platform, which allows payment by credit card.
Reservations can also be paid directly with your PayPal account (PayPal Holdings, Inc), transferring the funds to PortugalDayTrip , without the need to provide any credit card details.
Customers are offered three (3) possible payment methods:
Payment options are selected by the customer during the checkout process.
Considering the characteristics of the reservation models on the platform, payment can be processed in two different ways, namely:
10.1 Automatic Reservations

10.2 Reservations Under Confirmation
For reservations that require confirmation, the payment will be processed immediately, right after the reservation process is completed.

Your payment details will never be stored on the PortugalDayTrip platform, but may, however, and only if you allow it, be stored on the PayPal platform, in order to facilitate the procedure for future payments.
11.2 PortugalDayTrip has the right to cancel any reservation if there is a reasonable suspicion of improper use of the user’s card or identity.
11.3 PortugalDayTrip acknowledges that it is responsible for the security of customers’ personal information, which it processes and stores within the scope of this service. PortugalDayTrip is not responsible for the improper use or disclosure of customer information by partners.
12.1 Fees arising from the online payment process will be borne by PortugalDayTrip .
12.2 In cases of cancellation at the user’s initiative, a fee of 5% of the amount paid will be deducted from the funds to be returned for the refund processing.
12.3 In cases of cancellation at the partner’s initiative, no processing costs will be retained.
PortugalDayTrip partners undertake to charge the same prices for their services on the platform as they charge directly or through other third-party channels.
The activities on the platform do not include individual travel insurance, so we recommend that you take out travel insurance prior to enjoying the experiences, which includes medical expenses, trip cancellation and other related losses.

PortugalDayTrip
We firmly believe that the internet should be available and accessible to anyone, and are committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of circumstance and ability.
To fulfill this, we aim to adhere as strictly as possible to the World Wide Web Consortium’s (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 (WCAG 2.1) at the AA level. These guidelines explain how to make web content accessible to people with a wide array of disabilities. Complying with those guidelines helps us ensure that the website is accessible to all people: blind people, people with motor impairments, visual impairment, cognitive disabilities, and more.
This website utilizes various technologies that are meant to make it as accessible as possible at all times. We utilize an accessibility interface that allows persons with specific disabilities to adjust the website’s UI (user interface) and design it to their personal needs.
Additionally, the website utilizes an AI-based application that runs in the background and optimizes its accessibility level constantly. This application remediates the website’s HTML, adapts Its functionality and behavior for screen-readers used by the blind users, and for keyboard functions used by individuals with motor impairments.
If you’ve found a malfunction or have ideas for improvement, we’ll be happy to hear from you. You can reach out to the website’s operators by using the following email
Our website implements the ARIA attributes (Accessible Rich Internet Applications) technique, alongside various different behavioral changes, to ensure blind users visiting with screen-readers are able to read, comprehend, and enjoy the website’s functions. As soon as a user with a screen-reader enters your site, they immediately receive a prompt to enter the Screen-Reader Profile so they can browse and operate your site effectively. Here’s how our website covers some of the most important screen-reader requirements, alongside console screenshots of code examples:
Screen-reader optimization: we run a background process that learns the website’s components from top to bottom, to ensure ongoing compliance even when updating the website. In this process, we provide screen-readers with meaningful data using the ARIA set of attributes. For example, we provide accurate form labels; descriptions for actionable icons (social media icons, search icons, cart icons, etc.); validation guidance for form inputs; element roles such as buttons, menus, modal dialogues (popups), and others. Additionally, the background process scans all the website’s images and provides an accurate and meaningful image-object-recognition-based description as an ALT (alternate text) tag for images that are not described. It will also extract texts that are embedded within the image, using an OCR (optical character recognition) technology. To turn on screen-reader adjustments at any time, users need only to press the Alt+1 keyboard combination. Screen-reader users also get automatic announcements to turn the Screen-reader mode on as soon as they enter the website.
These adjustments are compatible with all popular screen readers, including JAWS and NVDA.
Keyboard navigation optimization: The background process also adjusts the website’s HTML, and adds various behaviors using JavaScript code to make the website operable by the keyboard. This includes the ability to navigate the website using the Tab and Shift+Tab keys, operate dropdowns with the arrow keys, close them with Esc, trigger buttons and links using the Enter key, navigate between radio and checkbox elements using the arrow keys, and fill them in with the Spacebar or Enter key.Additionally, keyboard users will find quick-navigation and content-skip menus, available at any time by clicking Alt+1, or as the first elements of the site while navigating with the keyboard. The background process also handles triggered popups by moving the keyboard focus towards them as soon as they appear, and not allow the focus drift outside it.
Users can also use shortcuts such as “M” (menus), “H” (headings), “F” (forms), “B” (buttons), and “G” (graphics) to jump to specific elements.
We aim to support the widest array of browsers and assistive technologies as possible, so our users can choose the best fitting tools for them, with as few limitations as possible. Therefore, we have worked very hard to be able to support all major systems that comprise over 95% of the user market share including Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari, Opera and Microsoft Edge, JAWS and NVDA (screen readers).
Despite our very best efforts to allow anybody to adjust the website to their needs. There may still be pages or sections that are not fully accessible, are in the process of becoming accessible, or are lacking an adequate technological solution to make them accessible. Still, we are continually improving our accessibility, adding, updating and improving its options and features, and developing and adopting new technologies. All this is meant to reach the optimal level of accessibility, following technological advancements. For any assistance, please reach out to
